October 2nd, 2025 AWFS® is working with Taber Co. in Irvine, CA to host teachers from the Anaheim Union High School District for a day of tours, panel discussions, and CNC workshop facilitated by AWFS® Member Carbide 3D!
AWFS® worked with Taber Co. in the 2024-2025 school year to host 70 students for tours and career panels and it was a hit! It takes wood industry companies like Taber Co., Talbert Architectural, Royal Plywood, Reborn Cabinets, and Drawer Box Specialties to put on these events and have students see themselves in the wood industry for a career. |

Started by the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), MFG Day is meant to connect industry companies and students to promote careers in manufacturing. Across the nation manufacturing facilities open their doors to tours of students so that they can see real production in action. This is always on the first Friday of October.
Anyone! Manufacturing Day is for students, teachers, industry professionals, and associations.
